Minimum Requirements:

A Bachelor’s or Associates degree OR at least 60 semester units/90 quarter credits/900 hours of college education.

You must have completed at least one course in each of the following categories: English Composition/Language/Literature, Mathematics/Logic/Statistics, Humanities, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Electives. Online or in person coursework is acceptable, as long as it’s from a Department of Education approved school. You must have a 2.5+ GPA overall and 2.0+ GPA for each course that will count towards the 60 units.

Applicants must have maintained a cumulative GPA of 2.5 (C+) or higher overall, and at least a 2.0 (C) in any individual course that will count towards the 60 credits.

Co-requisites & Transfer Credit:

The following classes are not required for admission, but must be completed within the first year of study at ACCHS. You can complete them at ACCHS or transfer them in from another institution.

• Human Anatomy | 4 units (60 hrs)
• Human Physiology | 4 units (60 hrs)
• Western Medical Terminology | 2 units (30 hrs)
• General Biology | 3 units (45 hrs)
• General Chemistry | 2 units (30 hrs)
• Biochemistry | 1 unit (15 hrs)
• General Physics | 1.5 units (22.5 hrs)
• Biophysics | 0.5 units (7.5 hrs)
• General Psychology | 2 units (30 hrs)

Anatomy, physiology, biology, and medical terminology must have been taken in the past 10 years. Chemistry, physics, biochemistry, psychology, and biophysics can be more than 10 years old.

If you choose to complete these courses at ACCHS, we recommend starting in summer term when we offer these classes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. If you do not need these science courses we recommend starting in fall term, with our regular Tuesday/Thursday schedule.
