Application Procedures
Federal law requires that students be able to apply for Federal Financial Aid without paying a fee. To be considered for the federal aid programs offered by the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences (Direct Loans, Grad PLUS and Federal Work Study) a student must fill out the FAFSA, which collects financial and other information used to calculate the SAI (student aid index).
The application processing cycle lasts 18 months. However, ACCHS will advise its students to submit their applications as soon as possible and before April 1 of the new award year.
How To Apply
A student must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), either electronically (www.studentaid.gov), or by paper (you must request a paper application from the Department of Education). The student will need copies of his or her income tax return and his or her parents’ return if dependent (spouse’s return if independent), W-2 forms, current bank statements, and records of any stocks, bonds or other investments and assets. There is no fee for filling out the FAFSA. There is a paper FAFSA which a student may obtain from the Department’s website. Students may complete the FAFSA online
