The Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine program is a three academic year professional degree curriculum designed to provide an advanced, clinically oriented program of study based on a foundation of Classical Chinese medicine and integrated orthopedics and pain management. The DAOM program curriculum will demonstrate competency in clinical supervision, clinical teaching with the goal of enhancing the supervisee’s competencies. The DAOM program curriculum will demonstrate a greater understanding of procedures relating to evaluation and research, enabling graduates to become critical consumers of the body of professional literature. These competencies will complement the graduate’s abilities to engage the clinical research project in Oriental medicine.

The Academy’s DAOM curriculum relates directly to its purpose and objectives by offering a comprehensive advanced and specialized education in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). The curriculum covers all the core areas of TCM as defined by state, national, and Chinese TCM college standards.
