More than 40 ACCHS students, faculty, staff members, prospective students, and their friends and families gathered in our large community classroom to celebrate the beautiful Mid-Autumn Festival together.
The celebration was filled with delicious homemade holiday treats lovingly brought by members of our community, along with beautiful mooncakes provided by the school. It was a wonderful opportunity to share food, friendship, and the traditions of Chinese culture.
Adding a special cultural touch to the celebration, our friends from the San Francisco Guqin and Xiao Music Society, led by the very talented artist Ms. Coral Liang, accompanied the event with beautiful traditional Chinese music. Coral is also passionate about Chinese medicine, making her connection with the ACCHS community especially meaningful. The Guqin, one of China’s oldest traditional instruments, has long been associated with the cultivation of inner harmony, mindfulness, and emotional balance. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, music and sound are understood to influence the Qi, emotions, and the balance of the Zang-Fu organs, complementing the broader principles of holistic health. Listening to or playing Guqin can therefore be viewed as a traditional practice that supports calmness, mental clarity, and harmony of body and mind.
We were also grateful to Professor Zhang Zhibin, Dr. Lou Wei, and Dr. Zhao, who shared their wisdom and experience on the study and practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Their insights followed heartfelt sharing from our recent graduates, Ms. Zhang Caihong and Ms. Tian Zhen, who spoke openly about their experience preparing for and taking the CALE examination.
We are especially proud to celebrate all four of our recent graduates who took the CALE for the first time in September—and all four passed! That’s Caihong, TianZhen, Shaolan and Jerry!
Their success is a wonderful reflection of their hard work, dedication, and confidence as they take the next step in their professional journeys.
Congratulations to all four graduates, and thank you to everyone who made this beautiful Mid-Autumn celebration such a meaningful gathering for the ACCHS community!
