Dear ACCHS Community and Patients,
In order to minimize risk and exposure to COVID-19, the ACCHS teaching clinic will offer telemedicine consultations to new patients and patients at high risk of developing a disease due to COVID-19 (over 65 years old, diabetes, heart or lung disease or compromised immune system). In addition, we are offering on-site clinic appointments for patients that are in need of acupuncture, moxibustion, guasha or cupping. If you need other in-person services, please consult a practitioner on our referral list.
What are the benefits of Telemedicine sessions?
Telemedicine appointments help keep patients safe by reducing their need to travel for health care while enabling continuity of care
What does a Telemedicine session look like?
Telemedicine appointments may last 60-90 minutes. During that time, we will listen to your concerns, answer your questions, and look at your tongue to make a Chinese medicine diagnosis. The visit will be conducted by a supervisor and a team of senior interns (3-10 interns). Depending on your concerns, we may use the following tools to help you:
- Discussion regarding dietary recommendations
- A customized herbal prescription and instructions on how to cook and take them (if needed).
- Instructions for at-home acupressure point protocols tailored to your needs
Consider scheduling an appointment for stress, anxiety, pain, insomnia, digestive disorders, cold and flu symptoms, immunity boost, fertility, women’s health and more. If you have questions about it, please contact us.
Thank you,
Joshua Laurenzi, MAcCHM, L.Ac
ACCHS Clinical Administrator
