Besides regular needle insertion techniques for children, Soma will present the use of Sho-ni-shin, a non-needle, painless, Japanese system used for infants and children which can be of great help for fearful or very delicate children. It is easy to learn and to use, yet can be very effective in getting positive results for chronic and some acute common childhood disorders. Basic differences between children and adults, diagnostic skills and patterns differentiation will be reviewed.

WHAT IS SHONISHIN
Sho-ni-shin is a Japanese system of acupuncture used for infants and children which originated several hundred years ago in the Kansai area (Southwest Japan).

It will benefit both those who already treat children by adding a needleless modality to your acupuncture repertoire and those who have not treated children before.
