COA – Cost of attendance is the total amount it will cost for you to go to school, usually expressed as a yearly figure and used for financial aid purposes.

The COA is determined by analyzing yearly figures, including the consumer price index, consumer expenditure statistics, and general cost of living released by the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics. The Academy factors costs, such as living expenses, books, supplies, transportation costs, miscellaneous expenses and tuition for a nine-month period, the duration of courses within a given ACCHS academic year, and uses the COA to help determine a student’s financial aid eligibility.

Financial Aid Eligibility = COA – EFC (Expected Family Contribution)

During the 2014-2015, the ACCHS cost of attendance for full-time status is set at $34,500 for the 10.5 month period.
